Giving
Every individual is different and unique. Each has got their own believes, philosophy and understanding on how certain things are suppose to be done or how one should behave. Even if you're made from the same "oven" and grew up under the same roof, you may react differently in different situations.
If you are a person with great personality, always accommodating, always giving and feel that the people around you or befriend with aren’t doing the same or not returning the favour, do not despair… do not aggravate and keep bringing it up. There will always be others around who appreciate you for who you are and what you’ve done. Never expect to receive the same treatment from the person you’ve been nice to. Every good deed or action should come from the heart, without expecting anything in return. Deep down you know you’ve done your part, you’re a good friend, a good sibling and a good child. Only then you’ll have no regrets and happy with your life. What matters most is that God knows who you are and what you’ve done. The only reward that’s worth receiving is from Him, happiness for eternity.
Just do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you. So if anytime in future, that someone does not treat you the way you had thought he/she should, just remember that “First, give yourself to God. You may be sure he'll look after what is his”
There are three kinds of givers -- the flint, the sponge and the honeycomb. To get anything out of a flint you must hammer it. And then you get only chips and sparks. To get water out of a sponge you must squeeze it, and the more you use pressure, the more you will get. But the honeycomb just overflows with its own sweetness. Which kind of giver are you? - unknown
Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting - unknown
