Heart and Time

A friend's mom once said that Heartache is the only pain you couldn't cure by getting a prescription from the doctor or the pharmacist. Only Time could heal a broken Heart.

Often movies and songs are written to tell the story of the Heart. A long time ago, people even thought that their emotions came from their Heart, maybe because the Heart beats faster when a person is nervous or excited. Now we know that emotions come from the brain, and that the brain tells the Heart what to do.

Sometimes we get advise to follow our Heart but sometimes we are told to use our brain. When exactly do you know which to use when technically, the brain controls the Heart. How do you explain the pain you feel when you are thinking of someone and you miss the person you feel or care for...How do you explain the smile on your face when an image of that person appears in your brain and your Heart suddenly beats 777 beats per second. How can 1 person makes you happy and your Heart race like mad and also at the same time makes your Heart sad and beat just as fast but for a totally opposite reason. A close friend once said that he doesn't mind being the person that makes you cry and laugh, all in one.

There is a saying in Malay, "Dari mata turun ke hati" which in direct translation means, "From the eyes it goes down to the Heart". My grandma always says that if you meet someone for the 1st time, don't look into their eyes. Always look down and then work your way up to the eyes as the eyes can fool you... I dont know, those who are close to me knows that I will only look into their eyes when I'm in search of the truth. Then there is a saying "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what the eyes couldn't see".

Often we realize what we've lost only when its no longer there. Absence makes the Heart grow fonder. It hurts even more when its right infront of you but there is nothing you can do about it, mmm...so helpless. My hope is that I've touched the Heart of everyone who have crossed my path and they will always have that warmth feeling in their Heart when ever they close their eyes and think of me.

If at any moment in Time, I've hurt any of you, I am sorry. Those who have the key to my Heart, keep it in a safe place. If you find there is no use of it anymore, my Heart may be broken but Time will heal all wounds. My Heart will go on...

We are not alone in this universe. Acquaintances come in and out of our lives, some just passes through, some hang around a little bit while others become part of you and makes you who you are. We cant please everyone that crosses our path. Some may adore us while others may wish that we dissapear from the face of the earth... but that my friend, IS LIFE!
